Responsible designer in landscape architecture

A responsible designer in landscape architecture is an individual who prepares studies, designs or design documentation for exterior arrangements such as: public green and other open spaces – parks, open spaces of residential areas, playgrounds, cemeteries, roadside areas, tree-lined alleys, open spaces along public buildings and others.

As a responsible designer, he/she is accountable for each design he/she prepares and confirms with his/her signature and stamp. He/she also guarantees that the plan complies with spatial acts, building construction regulations and project conditions, meets all essential requirements and complies with the detailed plans.

A responsible designer in landscape architecture is an individual who meets all the prescribed conditions and is entered in the ZAPS register.

Upon entry in the register, a responsible designer becomes a mandatory member of the Chamber, and is provided with a stamp, and identity number and declaration for the type of services for which he/she is authorised, which he/she then uses in the pursuit of the profession.
