Appropriate animal care

Animal care is appropriate if:

  • the animal is cared for by considering its physiological, ethological and other biological needs;
  • the animal is supervised so that an escape is prevented;
  • general veterinary and sanitary conditions are ensured, especially:
  • daily control of the state and well-being of the animal;
  • healthy and hygienic food and water are provided;
  • food is stored, prepared and fed to the animal in accordance with hygiene conditions;
  • the housing is regularly cleaned;
  • non-toxic cleaning and disinfection agents are used for cleaning the animal residence.
