Managing the animal store register

A dealer registered to trade in living animals must keep a register.

The register is managed in electronic form. An application must be submitted to the competent authority to access the electronic register.

The register for an individual dealer must contain the following data on the purchase and sale of an animal.

PURCHASE of an animal:

  • number of entry;
  • name and surname/company, permanent residence/head office of the natural/legal entity from which the animal was acquired;
  • scientific and domestic name of the species;
  • the number of purchased or produced animals;
  • the origin of the animal;
  • the country of purchase;
  • the number of the takeover document;
  • the date of purchase; the numbers of the documents accompanying individual animals;
  • the type and code of permanent marking.

SALE of an animal:

  • number of entry;
  • name and surname/company, permanent residence/head office of the natural/legal entity that bought the animal;
  • the number of dead animals or animals not subject to sale for other reasons.

The dealer must enter data in the electronic register so that data are entered for each animal purchased or sold until the tenth working day of the current month for the previous month. A dealer must use an electronic key to access their electronic register at the competent authority
