Nuclear substance register management
Due to the supervision of potential abuses of nuclear substances, the authority competent for nuclear safety manages the central register of nuclear substances.
The central register of nuclear substances is composed of the database on nuclear substances and connected collections of documents.
The central register of nuclear substances contains data from the registers of nuclear substances that must be managed by the holders of nuclear substances in accordance with the legislation of the EU.
The data from the central register of nuclear substances and connected collections of documents are not public.
Only competent officials of the authority competent for nuclear safety and inspectors may access data referred to in the previous paragraph. The holder of nuclear substances may access the data referred to in the previous paragraph that refer to their nuclear substances.
The holder of nuclear substances must ensure the protection of nuclear substances and organise the relevant records according to material balances and manage separate registers of nuclear substances for each area of material balances.
The holder of nuclear substances must ensure the undisturbed operations of the equipment for the permanent supervision of protection and for managing the register of nuclear substances upon direct inspection by international organisations referred to in the third paragraph of the previous article.
Whenever control of a nuclear substance or disposal is lost, the holder of nuclear substances must immediately notify the police and the authority competent for nuclear safety and do everything to establish comprehensive control of the nuclear substances.
