Keeping a logbook on pilotage

A maritime pilot must keep a logbook on pilotage with regard to piloting area that contains at least the following data:

  • date, hour of start and end of pilotage,
  • weather conditions (visibility, wind, precipitation),
  • description of the vessel (name, type, tonnage, length, flag, number of propellers),
  • the number of tugs used,
  • special features or other circumstances affecting the safety of navigation.
