Decision on the confirmation of the report on the occasional security check-up
The facility operator must draft a report on the occasional security check-up and submit it to the authority competent for nuclear safety for approval.
If the report on the occasional security check-up shows that changes must be done to improve radiation or nuclear safety, the facility operator must draft a proposal for these changes and the changes of the security report in accordance with the regulations.
In the application for the approval of the report on the occasional security check-up, the facility operator must also attach the opinion of the expert for radiation and nuclear safety on the implementation and results of the occasional security check-up and on the effects of proposed measures on the radiation and nuclear safety of the facility.
The authority competent for nuclear safety, confirms the report on the occasional security check-up in sixty days from the receipt of a complete application.
The facility operator is obliged to implement changes in accordance with the previous paragraph of this article in five years from the date when the decision becomes final.
Based on the proposal of the facility operator, the authority competent for nuclear safety can extend the deadline under the previous paragraph for maximum three years.
The confirmed report on the occasional security check-up is the condition for extending the authorisation for facility operations.
The plan of changes and improvements which is part of the report on the occasional security check-up must entail a detailed description of each change and the improvements and deadlines for each change or activity separately. The plan must clearly indicate which finding or recommendation of the occasional security check-up determines the change or improvement.
